“You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don’t do too many things wrong.”– Warren Buffett
How has 2016 been for you?
For me 2016 has provided me with a building block to my future success. The key is to make the best out of any situation, even if it’s bad. You can still use these situations to grow and develop. And growing is one of the most important aspects of life. You always want to be moving forward. Never stand still. This is a good strategy to carry into your business life as well. If you want your business to grow and develop then you have to be willing to put in the work. Put in the hours.
The way we do business is changing all the time. With the use of digital marketing we now have the ability to grow and scale our businesses like never before. By implementing simple strategies we can reach a much wider audience, specifically targeted for your niche. But as the use of digital marketing becomes a necessity for success many businesses still do not fully understand how to use it effectively. Here are 3 steps to help you obtain more clients for 2017:
Step 1 – A fully responsive web design…
What does this mean? A responsive web design is a combination of different techniques that allow a website to morph its design and format to fit the screen it’s being viewed on. A user who is viewing your website through a mobile device will be shown the same website as someone using a desktop, the only difference is the website can reformat itself to give the user a better experience for their device. Gone are the days where you have to zoom in to read specific pieces of content. Responsive deigns will also make your site much easier to use and to navigate. In the past businesses would specifically design their websites for desktop users. They filled it with as much content as they possibly could. That method simply won’t cut it any more. Today website’s NEED to focus on providing solid, shareable and above all valuable content for their users. Keeping a website simple is not bad. If anything it’s great! As long as you can make sure that your site is easy to navigate whilst still providing valuable content then your users will have a good experience. And by providing a better experience for your user it will increase the conversion rate on your website, so more clients.
Step 2 – The use of social media…
Social media has become so popular that virtually every business or organisation is using it. But the question are you using it effectively? What are the benefits of using social media? To start with it provides your business with more opportunities to collect clients. Every time you share a piece of content through social media it becomes an opportunity for a customer to convert. With social media you have the ability to build a following. This is great because it allows you to have access to new customers, recent customers and old customers all in one platform. It will also give you the opportunity to interact with them all. Providing value for your niche. See you do NOT always want to be selling. Take some time to provide value to your followers. Offer out some free content. This will serve you well in the long run. Trust me. By using social media it allows to have a closer relationship with your customers providing them with better experiences. If a customer complains against one of your services you can publicly reply which will enrich your relationship them. This will demonstrate that your business has a high customer service level, which is fantastic! Especially if the world can see it.
Step 3 – Content creation…
This is one of the most important strategies that every business should implement. And it is one of the top free methods to get clients. Every business has some form of a website (if you don’t then you really must sort that out) but not many businesses have a blog on there. Now you may be thinking why on earth do you need a company blog? Well here are two reasons for you… The first is that blogging will actually increase your SEO ranking if done so correctly. Which is great because it will give your site a higher ranking in Google. So there is a higher chance that a customer will stumble across your website. The second reason is that blogging gives you the perfect opportunity to provide value for your niche. For example, say you are in the fitness niche, you could write a blog post about “13 ways to start the new year healthy”… This is providing completely free content which is valuable for your market. You may be thinking whats the point if it’s free? If a customer comes to your site but isn’t quite ready to buy your service they’ll start to look around your site to see if they can understand you better. When they see the blog full of free content they’ll think ‘Wow, not only do they know what they’re talking about but they’re sharing it for free’. It’s a great way to build a following of people who are eager for your content. These people will become loyal customers in future. So as you can see Digital Marketing has become and will continue to be a vital part of how we do business. These 3 steps if implemented correctly could really help you bring in more clients and make 2017 the year your business explodes.
